Golden Boy Promotions hypocrisy

A bruised, battered and a submitted Oscar De La Hoya hug Manny Pacquiao on their supposed 12 round battle that ended in round 9 when Oscar quit on his stool. Manny said to Oscar you are still my idol and it was one of the greatest things to see in boxing two ring gladiators who are hall of famers hugging and praising each other after exchanging punches minutes before the fight ended. But all those pre meditated hoopla that Oscar gave to Manny was like a Judas kiss when days after the fight Oscar is starting to discredit Manny’s enormous victory. He was stated that Manny’s punches didn’t hurt him, Oh really? Even his trainer Nacho Beristain wanted to end the fight as early as round 5. It was undeniable that Oscar and his promotional company Golden Boy Promotions bad blood against Manny started way back when Oscar gave Manny a bag of $250,000 to sign with GBP Manny did sign the contract but after realizing his mistake returned the $250 k and sign with Bob Arum’s Top rank. That decision ended up in litigation and eventually Top rank and GBP agreed to an amicable settlement where Top rank represents Manny but GBP will have some percentage on Manny’s purse.
The number of Golden Boy fighters that Manny destroyed made Richard Schaefer GBP’s CEO hate Manny more after destroying Barrera and Marquez and retiring Ricky Hatton and Oscar De La Hoya. It was reported that after Manny’s destruction against Oscar, Schaefer was saying that Manny is on steroids well he should have known better because his fellow Golden Boy fighter Sugar Shane Mosley admitted in court that he was using steroids but unlike Mosley, Manny was tested clean and have never got an inkling of him using performance enhancing drugs. Oscar on his recent blog was stated saying Now I know why Fernando Vargas, Shane Mosley and Manny Pacquiao’s punches feels so much alike quite contradicting when he said after his Pacquiao fight that Manny’s punches never really hurt him.
Now as the ongoing negotiation between Manny and Floyd takes place it was unusual for a co promoter who sides more on his opponent rather than his own. Like I said the litigation made GBP a co promoter with Top rank so it means on Mayweather’s fight they will be having a percentage on Manny’s purse. GBP is not Mayweather’s promotional company because Floyd has its own promotions they are just the one being asked to negotiate for Floyd this is a conflict of interest. The Blood issue was also contradicting knowing that GBP stand on their grounds when Mosley was subjected to additional blood testing against Zab Judah they were quick to say that they have outmost respect on Nevada’s commission testing but they were the ones who requested additional blood testing to Manny. They were the ones who made this issue big by going to the media and destroying Manny’s integrity. There was no blood request when Floyd fought against their fellow fighters Marquez or against Ricky Hatton or their very own Oscar De La Hoya so why now?
These are just some tiny loop holes against GBP and like a Gestalt psychology those holes could be made as a one big hole which meant a downfall on GBP. If they want this fight to happen it could have been signed and sealed long before Christmas but maybe they are just protecting their prize ward which isn’t theirs anyways with aging fighters left in Shane Mosley and Bernard Hopkins their isn’t much to do. There is no one to blame but their hypocrisy.
