Juan Ma needs Vasquez, Gamboa and Marquez..

Juan Manuel Lopez once again raises his hands in victory scoring another stoppage win against formerly undefeated fighter Olivier Lontchi from Canada. It was once again a lopsided affair with Lopez scoring two knockdowns one in the second round and the other in the ninth round. 26 wins with no losses and 24 KOs you just have to wonder who will be Juan Ma’s counter part or someone who could withstand his power. Gerry Peñalosa tried but Freddie Roach sees it as a no win situation after being battered the whole 10 rounds and was force to wave the white flag. Sergio Medina tasted Lopez onslaught in round 1 and insists that he receives constant death threat before the fight… Oh really? Daniel Ponce De Leon had a rude awakening after being dismantled with seconds only in round 1. There were talks about Lopez against Rey “Boomboom” Bautista and thank God for Heriberto Ruiz for spoiling the party which could have been a disaster in the making. Frankly speaking Juanma needs an Israel Vasquez or Rafael Marquez fight he has proven time and time again his supremacy in his division. Yuriorkis Gamboa can be a good fight with both fighters sporting dynamite in their hands and that would be explosive from the opening bell which gives Gamboa a slight advantage since Lopez is moving up in weight at 125lbs. But I guess it doesn’t really matter for Lopez he is in a different league and win or loose against Gamboa there would still be an inkling space to ponder how good really a Juan Manuel Lopez is? Vasquez can give him a lesson in determination and power while Marquez can develop his boxing skills. Enough of boasting his record or giving him one sided fights Golden Boy should focus on giving him Gamboa, Vasquez or Marquez. This son of a gun is already tested… pound per pound tested.
