Pacquiao-Hatton will it Happen?

Manny Pacquiao is gearing up his training for his June 28 date with David Diaz although the fight is not a gimme fight. Many is at stake for Manny first will be the pound per pound rating, second will be his legacy and a country with high hopes in him and the last would be a mega fight with Ricky Hatton or other notable fighters in the star studded light weight division.
Ricky Hatton is about 5lbs bigger than Manny though 5lbs is just a small amount of weight but a pound or two is already big in boxing. Some boxers would squeeze into a limited weight only to balloon the following day. Manny for one was about 150 lbs on the fight against Marquez. So would it be a good decision for Manny to challenge Ricky Hatton?
The facts
Ricky Hatton is about 0.4 inches taller than Manny so height disparity is somewhat negligible. Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton have similar fight records both are noted for good fights in the past. We all remember Pacquiao’s underdog victory against Barrera and Ricky Hatton’s famous 12 round TKO against the top pound per pound fighter Kostya Tszyu. Pacquiao and Hatton are almost similar in age and both fighters are globally known with good fan base around the world though Pacquiao is the sought after fighter in the world today but Hatton has also vast options in his next fight like Pauli Malignaggi or the Golden boy Oscar Delahoya.
Who will win
Hatton is a natural welter weight moving from light then back to welterweight so naturally Hatton is the bigger puncher compared to Manny. Manny is naturally bigger in his fights and spars with 140 and 150 lb fighters. This is a dream match-up in boxing and Pacman and the Hitman would hit it off right from the start this is like a nuclear bomb being detonated. This fight would be hard to predict but for sure this fight won’t take the full route.
With all said and done Manny still has an unfinished business to take. He has to take care of Diaz first before Hatton. Moving in weight might be bad or good for Manny. We all just have to see how well he does on June 28… Hatton will be ready when that time comes and Manny have to be ready if it happens.
