The flashy smile and happy demeanor you might say that Dwight Howard is like a boy trap in man’s body but not just any other body we are talking about a gigantic 6-foot-11 with 265 lbs of muscles and a miniscule of body fat percentage. Before he joined the NBA he was quoted saying he would use his career to spread the Christian faith. There was no denying how great he had become as the Orlando Magic’s star center.
First and second round in the 2010 NBA playoffs were smooth sailing for Orlando. The Bobcats and Hawks have proved to be a mediocre challenge to the Magic’s offensive power. There were no answers for Dwight there were only questions on how to contain such a massive force in the paint. The Boston Celtics have figured that out already; they know that the only thing that made the Magic successful is because Howard is physically unopposed. They push, shove and drag Howard to the ground like the bushwackers taking turn in beating Andre “The Giant”. Rasheed Wallace, Kendrick Perkins and “Big baby” Glenn Davis made the seemingly indestructible Superman into Clark Kent. He only scored 13 points in game one and a measly 7 points in a blowout game 3 with an identical 3 out of 10 field goals.
Down 0-3 in the series the Orlando salvage a win in an overtime game 4 to make it respectable. The insults, the physically draining defense and those nasty dispositions sometime have got to stop and Dwight is now fighting fire with fire.
“Big Baby” Davis got hit with an inadvertent elbow by Dwight, staggering him down the floor until referee Joey Crawford showed compassion and help the delirious Davis. Rasheed Wallace twisted his back and fouled out minutes before the game ended and Kendrick Perkins got two technical fouls and will be facing suspension. The Celtics gave Sheldon Williams some quality time not because they needed him but because they don’t have any other choice. Suddenly the Celtics are back to the question the Bobcats and the Hawks are still wondering… How do you stop a force called Dwight Howard?
The pressure has now shifted to the Celtics… They need to win game 6 or face the same fate to the Boston Bruins…. No NBA team has ever won a series being down 0-3 and that’s the only gratifying thought the Celtics could think of right now. But in the back of their minds the question still lingers… How do you stop Howard? How do you stop Howard?
The Celtics just created a monster… Now that’s the scary part.
